Honda CR-Z Launch Is Sucessful

The launch of Honda’s new hybrid sports car has reportedly gone very well.

A Japanese newspaper reported that there were more than 7,000 orders for the CR-Z in the two weeks since its debut. The newspaper said that orders so far are 60 percent of Honda’s sales target for the vehicle for the entire year.

The CR-Z is a gas-electric hybrid, and can go about 60 miles on a single gallon of gas.

Nice to hear that sales are going well...with this kick start, Japan is surely going to reach their goals. Many people here at the other end of the ocean are skeptical in terms of sales here. Just hoping for a fully loaded ex to not exceed $23-24k. Please bring that imola orange overseas...would look sick with black wheels.

I'm hoping for an Si version in America. I think they NEED it to be as successful here as they are in Japan.

dude they're only producing 15k for japan a year !

They can always change production. And when they do hopefully a Type-R is available in America... We need another sports car from Honda.

glad to here the sales are that good so soon after the release...

i bet it will sell just as well overe here in North America even without an Si/R version... as long as the price is right of course...
