Anyone else see any ads for the car?
It's..........almost as if Honda does not want these to be sold in US.......almost.
I haven't seen any local advertisement at all for the car. Neither from Honda or local dealers. I work at a Honda dealer, and from what I have seen they are making absolutely no effort towards marketing it. They still have 4-5 2011-2012 CR-Zs on the lot, and so they aren't planning on even ordering any 2013s until all the other CR-Zs are sold.

Anyway, they don't seem to care too much about selling them. The salesmen only seem to show them to people who ask about them and don't really put any effort into showing them off to customers, and hide them in the back corner of the lot.

Pretty sad really.

The real sad thing is that nearly all the dealerships ruin the demo drive by cranking it up, turning the a/c on full blast (in the summer), and letting it idle for 10-15 minutes before driving. This depletes the batteries and creates a lethargic test drive. It would be better if they just cranked it up normally and drove. The customer would be more impressed with how quick the HVAC system works and the IMA motor response than the alternative.

Removing the spare tire is a weight and cost savings.

One local dealer hasn't had a CR-Z on the lot in a year , possibly may get one from another dealer if a customer wants one . When I bought mine just over a year ago they urged me to buy a used one they had just got in, as it wouldn't be around long . I wanted new so I declined and it was gone in a day . My dealer has one 2012 on the lot which surprised me since he still had a leftover 2011 that had been sitting for 6 months at the time he got the 2012 in . What's odd is the Nissan dealer down the street had no problem selling an identical used Z for 20K .I hope they will still order the 2013 and not wait till the 2012 model is sold . I'm wondering how much my trade value will drop once the 2013 is out , the rarity factor will be out of the equation and they will be discounting the 2012 model .

What State are you in? I'm still told we cannot order yet....starting to sound like BS...I'm not waiting for two 2012, black , auto, to sell. Maybe I have to find another Honda dealer who wants my business.
