While it may be too early typically for a full model change, Honda may have decided to bump it up with the poor reception of the current gen.

Here are some screenshots... I brightened the headlight and S button in Photoshop.

I can't tell where the S button would go - maybe they changed the dash a bit too.

also - no way this is a full model change. I don't believe any car company would do a full redesign after two years, and anyway the headlight looks exactly the same as the current JDM headlight.

I had thought it was very well received in Japan (COTY), but not in the States. I honestly would be surprised if they released this one in the US at all...

If the Mugen CR-Z "RZ" is really coming (in Japan) and will be based on this new CR-Z, then I doubt there'll be a major engine change on this new model. Unless Honda downsize to 1.3L and keep the output the same as 1.5L.
A new Li-ion battery is possible.

Car Name: CR-Z Mugen RZ
Base Car: 2013 Honda CR-Z
Horsepower (Engine+Motor): 156+20ps (current 114+14)
Torque (Engine+Motor): 18.9+8.0kgfm (14.8+8.0)
Battery: Li-ion (Ni-MH)

Motor: 14ps->20ps.
Supercharged engine: 156ps . It should be higher if it's a new/bigger base engine.

I wouldn't be sad at all if they didn't release it here. I have no plans of trading in anytime soon so I would be really mad and jealous if they came out with this next year already. Just me being greedy

I hope Honda would continue and issue PCM/IMA updates for us 2011 ZF1 early adopters and enhance, tweak, and refine all the modes especially Sport and Econ so we can get the most performance and efficiency out of our CR-Z especially with the CVT it’s so high tech and I believe the ECU still can be tweaked and easily updated for more existing owners. Would also like to see the CR-Z get at least stereo Bluetooth or new the i-MID system from the Civic/CR-V interesting enough the 2013 Accord has Hill Start Assist I wish they could enable or add that feature also through a software update because on a incline, hill, driveway and the car tends to roll back before the engine turns back o tn and when its in D and you dont push on the gas petal its dangerous and just a little annoying because it can be tricky.

Yeah, I feel the same way. I would occasionally have buyers remorse for not getting a 2011 Mustang or the 2011 Genesis Coupe, but then the 2013s came out for both of them and I'm really glad I didn't get either of them. I'm hoping the same thing doesn't happen with the CR-Z.

The 6MT has this. It's quite annoying when I'm trying to pull out and it holds me back for a second.

Sounds like a CR-Z refresh. Honda's typical 2 year refresh includes new wheel design and sculpted front/rear fascias. Those wheels are really nice. That S+ button intrigues me though.
