Did two runs to northern Michigan over the past month, and on the way up this last time I decided to try a roof rack to hold my luggage as the inside was filled up quite a bit. two people + a cat + rack + xmas presents = about 600 lbs total in the car. I didn't really notice a problem on the drive towards breezewood, switched out til Ohio and omg on the Ohio turnpike and all the way through Michigan I was getting 24 mpg. There were high winds as well which was probably influential, I couldn't even hold 70mph I had to drop to 65 and stay in 5th gear.
On the way back without all the presents, didn't bother with putting stuff on the top and got 35-37 the whole way. Was hoping to use it on my cross country move, but with those kind of numbers I'll have to sell the rack locally over the next few weeks.
