Mostly sub-urban surface roads, some rural. NO hypermiler tricks (no pulse and glide or shutdown and coast), just careful driving in eco mode. Tires at 48 cold.

I think there is more there . . . even in this weather.

Summer looks promising for breaking 50.

Agreed. Can't wait for the warmer weather already. I hit 51 just before the weather changed now I'm down to 48...lol

Finally got our CR-Z back from service... I had a 42 miles roundtrip to work and back, mostly 45-55 with some traffic lights, lots of hills and curves (I live in east TN) that averaged 50.2 MPG. I just bought a '91 CRX HF though and 53 MPG is my average over the last 400+ miles

Yep, if the weather is nice, you're pretty much guaranteed 50+ MPG if you stay under 55 MPH.

I averaged 47.2 this last tank 50% City Driving on Stock wheels. Hope I can hit 50 mpgs soon. This looks promising.

On my last 48 mile trip from Mammoth Lakes (in the CA Sierra) to Bishop I got 82.1 mpg. This is possible because of an elevation change from 7500 ft. down to 4100 ft. allowing lots of coasting over the 48 miles. But the speed never fell below 65 mph for the entire trip.

Today when I shut off my CR-Z I saw a trophy in my info display. Am I like a hypermiling champion now?

Yes you are! I drive ~19 miles round trip every day and I always get 58+ MPG, but the other day I got a best RT average of 60.5 MPG

It just gets to a point of how far of an extreme your willing to take your hypermiling is the only factor coming in play with these numbers. I'm sure you could manage 50mpg in a hummer if you did crazy/unorthodox things to conserve gas.

Interesting to see these numbers, but Ill just stick to driving my CR-Z normal......im fine with 40 mpg
