That's quite a number of miles for one tank.
Odd because on my 41-42 MPG tanks this summer I'm already near zero range when passing 400 miles on a tank. Summer tracking data. Example: 9/3/11 - 417.6 miles - filled 9.69 gallons of gas - 43.1 MPG. I wonder why looking at your pics you still have range left over when hitting the 400 mark. |

When I do this drive, I fill the tank up to the point that I can see the fuel at the top of the filler neck. After the pump clicks off, I can squeeze in 1.5 more gallons of fuel. That way I know I can make it all the way from Boise to Reno or visa-versa. I do the same when I leave Reno for CA that way I don;t have to fill up in CA with their CRAPPY additive filled fuel. I get 3-4 MPG worse on CA fuel.
