Default Max MPG the MID can show.

I wonder what is the max mpg number that the USDM MID can display.
I have guessed 999.9 but the most I could get was 199.9
Has anyone seen higher number?

Yea - refilling on a mountain (trip A reset) and then a 2 mile downhill trip (basically all coasting/braking) I've gotten 99.9, but never anything above that.. I (at the time) concluded it was a 2 digit limit..

Guess not. So, what did you do at .4 miles to get 199.9? Not that it really matters, but curious.. The gas mileage at the end of the tank is what matters.

I just reset trip B counter while going downhill. 6th gear ~70MPH and foot off throttle.

I was talking about this in a thread I made a while ago, and not saying to use my thread lol...but just using it as a referance, and we kinda came up to conclusion as 199.9 is the max since no one appears to seen anything higher
My old thread

Now I assume as it is digital dash and all maybe they never programmed a 2-9 number for the hundreds line, just a 0 and 1...random here but binary's the same way =P but yeah anyways thats all I believe is just the hundreds column is just 0 and 1.

This seems likely - Scotty and Bansky both have CVT equipped cars it seems while human668's link says he drives a manual equipped car.

I can't think of WHY this would be different, though...
