but my stats. im keeping a log on every fill up and stuff that i do. 8.809 gallons $36.90 @ $4.189/g 337.8 miles @ 38.0MPG on the dash Actual = 38.34MPG pretty happy about that. i am used to driving a crx dx and civic dx hatchbacks getting 25-35mpg at best. so far i love this car. its comfortable. drives great. gets great gas mileage. so far nothing to dislike about it. *cheers* Hank |

Hi Hank, welcome. I'd love to hear more about your previous CRX. Everyone seems to measure the 'failure' of the CR-Z based on the CRX and the mileage it was supposed to get back in the day. Is yours modded in some way? I thought those were supposed to be MPG wonders (again judging from all the hate spewed at CR-Z mileage)?

The crx hf was about the only one to get better mpg than the crz. It had such long gears and it weighed 1/2 of what a crz does. If you were to strip a crz to the same weight as an old crx I don't see how it wouldn't be pushing 50mpg on a regular basis. My automatic crx dx got the best mileage out of all my civic hatches and crx's. Ranging from 1988-1991.
I can sacrifice the better ride for the same fuel mileage of an old civic that weighs nothing plus I feel much safer in my car. I've had boosted and ls swapped civics and crx's too. |
