Although it has 4 or 5 less HP, CAN ANYONE TELL ME WHY THE EURO VERSION OF THIS CAR GETS SO MUCH MORE MILEAGE?

It doesn't, think your getting confused between US & UK gallons many on here post from across the pond (US)

My understanding is that there rating are different. Easiest way i can comprehend is like comparing km to mi. They will equal the same, but display different. PLease someone chime in haha i have only a small clue about what im talking about lol

1 Imperial gallon = 4.54609188 liters

1 US gallon = 3.78541178 liters

There is more GO in a UK (Imperial) Gallon.....

In other words 1 UK gallon = 1.2 US gallons.

Since we're talking miles per gallon, the UK numbers for mpg are 1.2x greater than what we're used to seeing.

Simply divide the UK mpg number by 1.2 to come back to reality. But realize their testing methods differ from the EPA.
