Default 1st Tank 6MT

Picked up my new CR-Z on 10/06/2010. Just filled up this morning after using my first full tank. Did the math and got 28.89 MPG on my first tank of gas.

NOW the details. I haven't driven a manual tranny car in 30 years, so I am learning all over again, all these miles where city driving, and this was almost all FUN DRIVING, not shifting for gas mileage.

On my way to work today 17 miles on the highway the dash showed 40.3 MPG.

sounds about how i would treat the car as well. drive it for fun and get decent gas mileage, not put-put to save 4-5bucks a tank

I am going from a Dodge Ram 2500 HEMI 4X4 that gets 10MPG, I wanted something that I could get twice the gas mileage, SO I am more than happy getting 29MPG LOL

Big jump. The Ram had sooo much more torque and power vs CR-Z with the gas consumption to boast.

The CR-Z like all hybrid needs to learn new driving techniques to obtain their full potential but for now beat the sh.t out of it and it will demand for more.

Either way, your mileage will improved and have fun doing it.

Congratz.
