Not much drop in MPG from your previous experienced. Not bad considering you migrated to sport mode. Are you enjoying your ride more?

I am one of those people. . Rode in sport mode through a mountain range for a good 80 miles trip and end up with 39MPG.

I have a 6MT and I get 40 MPH on the highway. The problem is, I don't want to drive on the highway, the car is too much fun and all I want to do is drive it on fun roads and shift gears, so I only get around 30 MPG, BUT I'm coming from a truck that got 10 MPG so I am extremely happy even with 30 MPG

Heh - sounds like fun. What mode are you using for city driving?

I didn't buy this car to compete with the mileage of a Prius or Insight. I personally couldn't drive either of those cars (can't stand automatics, and they're so ugly.) So, when the CRZ hit the market, I "LOVED" the looks and coming from my hopped up turbocharged Mazdaspeed 3 (which was getting average 24mpg) 35-40mpg looked pretty good. I am a total car enthusiast and I still have the Mazda (it's my autocross car and toy now) but I'm using the Honda strictly for my 80 mile daily commute. My first tank of gas on the CRZ netted 40+average mpg, my 2nd tank (which was 70% city driving) netted 38+average mpg. Hopefully those numbers will hold up in the long run. If they do I wil save a bunch in gas costs over my year of commuting. As far as I'm concerned those are good numbers for me that I can live with considering that I wasn't really trying that hard (using sport mode in the city most of the time) to gain max mpg. I'm not a hypermiller (I think that's how you spell it) and I need some what of a sporty good looking ride under my feet. The interior and EX package has everything I need or want .This car meets all that criteria for me. Not sure why I like this car so much but it really works for me. On top of that I can't believe the looks I get driving this car. I guess it's so new still that most peeps don't even know what they're looking at. I've had some stopping and beeping they're horn at me at a red light to say "hey cool car, what is it." I've always had a knack for owning one of a kind vehicles and happy to say I have another one....
