With that said, my question is: Would this be something I should consider when looking for aftermarket springs, or would the fact that they're most likely going to be as stiff or stiffer than the stock ones mean that I shouldn't worry about it too much? Thanks in advance for any opinions and help

I'd say not to worry about it, as the springs will be stiff...and as of now thats like the weight of another heavy set man in the car....the springs are made to withstand weight you put in your car too.

That amount of extra weight always in the car is going to affect how the suspension feels, but if you never remove it you won't know how the suspension is supposed to feel anyway.
That's crazy, your CR-Z is tipping the scales at nearly 3,000 lbs. You could be over the load capacity every time you drive. Maximum Load Limit - VERY DISTURBING |

I don't think the stereo system should be a problem with springs, just make sure you don't get cheap sorings, I'd say go with swift or eibach
