Default Anyone? both Cusco and Kansai FR Strut Tower at the same time?

Has anyone done this or thought about doing this? Putting both the Cusco Front Strut OS Tower Bar and Kansai Strut tower bar? I figure since they mount to different parts in the front it might be interesting to see if this benefits (alternative to Spoon Cage) or if it is redundant. Thoughts?

Waste of money, and I'd go with the hks over the cusco, cusco doesn't even mount on the strut tower.

Yeah though I've heard both individually offer improvements. Thought maybe if combined would offer similar performance as say the spoon's cage.

should be similar results to the spoon cage, though the spoon cage is still better as it ties everything together

I have thought about either and both and have the HKS on order.

If you look at the front suspension geometry, there are only 3 places (on each side) where the forces are transfered to the body: The upper shock tower mounts and the two control arm pivots at the bottom.

The bottom would be stregthened by lower strut braces, which many people have done but there is a lot of metal down there already. And I talked to an experienced road racer (some forms of road racing only allow one - either upper or lower not both) and he said the Hondas usually run the upper (suggesting that the upper is the most effective and needs more bracing than the lower).

So the upper would brace the shock towers. The HKS mounts on the shock towers so it directly addresses the problem.

The Cusco mounts on the fender/body forward of the shock tower. It's not directly attached to the key stress points and the metal that it is mounted on doesn't seem that solid (it feels solid if you push on it but it is just some bent body metal that looks like it would flex a lot more than the shock tower mount). I'm sure it does stiffen up the engine bay and people indicate it "feels" stiffer but it is not directly addressing the shock tower mount flex, only indirectly effecting it by making the overall engine bay stiffer.

That's my reasoning on the topic. YMMV!

Thanks. It seems like Kansai is the way to go if you're only doing one bar.
