I know everyone always talks about lowering their car. i actually want to raise it, like anywhere from 3 to 6 inches. am thinking like a rally car. The reason i want to do this is, I live in chicago and we have these stupidly high curbs and high angle driveways here. And in the winter the snow berms made by the plows really suck in the intersections. Also i like the look of rally cars. So far my idea is to raise car a few inches and add a few highbeam rally lights in the grille. so is this posible? has this been done? and how do i go about it? thanks! |

I understand your thoughts but the CRZ is going to look very odd lifted.
You should get this. A Smart car lifted. ![]() It's no secret that Telstar Logistics has a hankering for a SmartCar, but it's also no secret that we appreciate robust 4x4 capability as well. Thankfully, we no longer have to choose one or the other! According to Edmunds: Created by Greek rally champion Stefan Attart, the head-turning Smart combines the body shell of the existing Fortwo with the industrial-grade four-wheel-drive underpinnings of parent company Mercedes-Benz's Unimog 406. The result? A towering two-seat monster truck dubbed the Forfun2. You tube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MDU5BU_qSJU |

I'm quite interested as well - if you do decided to rally-ize a bit, I'd love to see the progress.
You'll probably take an economy hit, though - as I understand, the CRZ's underside is designed to minimize drag, and part of that is the low clearance. |

I've been considering placing some extra fogs behind the grille actually.

from what I've seen, I have yet to see a company come out with a suspension alternative to raise the CR-Z, I think it would require a lot of work especially with the rear suspension, but keep us posted
