Default Latest on Eibach Sportlines :-)

Ok so when I last spoke to Eibach, they decided to make some changes since I last spoke with them. At the moment, the sportlines have been updated on the website. No longer "under development" but now for sale and showing a drop of 1.5/1.5

I am very excited by this and will definetly be purchasing them. I will also calling them on Monday to get exact spring rates.

Updated:
Spring rates are as follows:

Progressive rates
Front is approx. 2.0 to 3.0 kg
Rear is approx. 1.3 to 4.3 kg

that's not 100% true. I had skunk 2 springs on my fit for 40k miles and they were a 1.8" drop. as long as you don't drive like an idiot your shocks will be fine.

^ you can never tell with springs, youre right. I had coilovers. I am debating trading in my car, hence the partout.

I switched back to stock suspension and hated the wheel gap so i got the ProKit eibach springs - figuring that I would just switch springs and turn the car in. They feel sloppy. I cant imagine that with a stiffer rate and more drop these will feel good.

most certainly compared to the coilovers but I was comparing to stock since thats more fair.

compared to stock on smooth roads there is little to no difference but the bumpier it gets the worse they feel. Major dips in the road make the car feel bouncy when the suspension is on rebound.

i consider this bouncy feel normal for aftermarket springs. even some coil overs will feel bouncy. suspension tuning is tough and totally by the seat of the pants feel.

This is my first experience with springs of any kind - always gone with coilovers. After going from the AMR coilovers back to stock the car was so night and day I wanted something to hold me over in the meantime. They kinda work, but I know I probably wont ever be buying springs again. It was a good lesson at least. I even tried to pick the springs with the lowest rate to avoid not liking the ride but that didnt get me completely out of the woods.
