Default after lowering with eibach springs, the passenger side front is still higher?

so i went ahead and lowered the car this weekend with the eibachs, everything went fine, followed all instructions and even cut the bumpstops, but for some reason the driver side and the passenger side fronts are different.. the passenger side is about a 2 finger gap, and the drivers side is a 1 finger gap..the rear are the same, both about 2 finger gap....wtf? am i missing something? the install was pretty straight foward...do they need to settle still? just curious

Give it some time to settle, maybe that will fix the height difference.

That's what I thought... until I fitted some fatter tyres to fill the gaps, but they're still there! I'm running 17's and 215/45 tyres at the moment. Coilies is on my wish list that's for sure~

In my experience it is a spring thing. While springs are cheap, there is obviously no way to adjust. I had a set of Eibachs on my last two cars. The first was a 2010 Grand Cherokee Laredo 3.5L and when the springs were installed, the front was even side to side, but didn't drop not one click from the stock height. I did some digging and found that the part number was the same for the 3.5L as it was for the 6.1L so I thought "ah ha", it's the weight of the engine that is causing, in my case, a non-drop. The 3.5L was too light for the spring ratio. I wrote to them and they took care of me. Then I got tired of the Laredo and bought a 2010 Grand Cherokee SRT8 6.1L. This one had a different issue, the rears were about the same difference (one finger vs two) gap that you are seeing. I'm not sure if all springs do that as I've always used coil overs in the past and they can be adjusted.

Good luck and hopefully they'll settle.

no there is still wheel gap with the Eibach... it's only 1" drop. but if it's just 1 side and the other is fine then im not sure.

I also have a set of Eibachs on my TBird where one side is about 3/8" higher than the other.

should have gone with the swift haha
no but seriously, just give the springs some time to settle, also make sure all the rubber sleeves and such were installed correctly on both side, if that doesn't fix it give Eibach a call and they'll be sure to help

Try switching your springs from left to right to see if the height issue follows the spring. If the higher side follows the spring then we have a spring issue. If it doesn't, you have an install issue.

It's very, very uncommon we get springs that come out different as they are all made at the same time and tested for rate and height after being made.
