Default Wheels or Suspension first?

What are everyone's thoughts on which to get done first. Is it better to lower it first then see what wheels will fit? Or get the wheels you want and have the suspension done accordingly? A lot of people I've talked to have said suspension, but I'm scared that if it is lowered too much I won't be able to fit the size wheel I want.

Get coilovers, problem solved.

Itll be worth it in the long run, you can adjust it to fit whatever wheels or look you desire at the time. Personally I get tired of my wheels about every year or so and have to change it up a bit..

Thanks, that's what I was thinking too. I was also considering air ride suspension like the fortune CR-Z. So many decisions to make.

suspension first. wheel gap with aftermarket wheels is very ungainly.

/thread.

must disagree, even though a car can look kinda weird stock height with proper wheels, the mod is easily reversible if the owner doesn't want it or has to part out for some reason. Especially if the owner is a newb at car modification. Nor does it mess with any warranties and it keeps honda happy. Not to mention the handling improvements from a lower profile sidewall.

I did my wheels before anything else. no regrets.

Do a lot of research then make a decision.

I have picked the wheel I want and an offset that will not require spacers already along with the tires. I am doing springs 1st and being conserative with the drop because I want to be aggressive with the rims and tires. I can live with my 17" till Jan, I can afford the springs and intake now.

Look around at all the different set ups. Some are running 32 offset, 38 offset, 45 offset, 50 off set and so on. This is an a decision I like to make before I slam it.

I got the wheels I wanted, the lowered it with springs. After I was able to see the spacing I needed I put the spacers on. I want to get the spoon dampers and need to paint the spacers, but overall I am happy.

you should look at what wheels you want and what suspension you want... I know a lot of people end up doing suspension because usually its cheaper than wheels, unless you want crazy nice coilovers, then its about even haha... so also take a look at pricing

You all make really good points. My problem is, I still can't see myself doing just one or the other. I might just end up doing both at the same time.

@KamiSpeed I do want to get nice coilovers because I'm not really trying to cheap out on anything, but I'm kind of a noob at this so I don't really know the difference between all of them. I've been doing a lot of research and read the coil over thread on here which was very helpful. I already know the rims I want and they're going to be more expensive than any suspension I choose lol. Would you mind if I PMed you inquiring about prices on suspension and maybe the wheels if you have them?
