Default Megan coilovers

Does anyone have the megans installed on their car? I've heard mixed reviews about it on other models (rsx/si/etc). I want adjustability but don't want to shell out the money for 1500-2000 coils. I had a friend with a rsx that had the track version installed on his car and he said it performed exceptionally well on the track/street.

Megan is a brand that started out from eBay so initial quality was pretty bad... as they grew I heard their quality has improved significantly. So some of your friends might have different reviews because they got them before they improved quality or something.

I think there are other options that offer cheap coilovers so you may want to look at those too. They may not be as cheap as Megan but they're close.

Megan Racing products have actually been alot better then when they first started 5 years ago. It use to be just a rebranded product but as their product line started growing more R&D was put into their products and also new designs. For the money they are a decent brand. I have sold a few sets of the Megan coilovers on the forum and everyone who has them seems to like it. I have yet to recieve any complaints so far. If you are interested in them please give us a call.

For the same price range you could go with either BC racing, or the Tein Street Basis coilovers, both which have reportedly high quality.

I plan on attending a track event in the middle of november and several autox events before then so I was thinking coilovers, better tires and upgraded brakes. Does anyone have any info on front and rsb for our vehicles?

Spoon and cusco make fsb's but they are a pita to install

Cusco and progress make rsb's and the progress is the thicker one. Progress is also cheaper but there is a metal on metal noise happening with it because of tall mountin screw heads or something like that. Install is very easy though.

I did lowering springs, front and rsb with endlinks on my last car ('11 wrx, I know big change) and it took me about 5 hrs. Wasn't difficult but just time consuming. I'm not new to the Honda/Acura scene (owned about 8-9) but I'm not too familiar with the crz's rear suspension. I know Cusco makes quality products but maybe I should just wait for more companies to develope more suspension bits for the crz. I think I'll just go with better pads and tires for the events to test out the car's factory capabilities. Thanks for the info guys.

there are plenty of valid spring/coilover options out now (even shocks from Showa), so you don't have to wait if you want to lower the car. In terms of sway bars, cusco seems to have gotten the front and rear on point, though the front sway bar required you to drop the subframe so its some work. Tires and pads will definitely make a big difference, but if you find yourself looking at springs, coilovers, sway bars let me know. I can help direct you depending on what you're looking for.
