Default Just installed my Apexi N+ Coilovers and Spoon Brake Calipers!

Apexi Coils just arrived!!

I've decided not to do an install write up since its already been done a dozen times and the install is very strait forward and simple.

Tools Needed:
19mm Socket
19mm wrench
17mm wrench
14mm socket
12mm socket
needle nose pliers

First impressions of the coils when I got them was wow.. they are really red as you can see in the pictures. They are great quality and included everything you need unlike other brands where they do not include a fixed sway bar mount or provisions for the brake lines and ABS sensor. I hate it when companies use a clamp that can move up and down the shock to mount the sway bars and having to zip tie cables and brake lines to the shock body. It makes things messy and unpleasant to work with. Out of the Box the Apexi coilovers are 5kg fronts and 4kg rears. I've modified Bach1k's Buddy Club coils to Eibach 440lb (~6kg) fronts and rears with a custom Ground Control Spring perch and his rode like a Stock Evo 9 MR which was great but I still find it a bit soft for my track setup. I decided to go with a shorter 7" Spring and a 8Kg setup and working with Apexi to bring in a 6,7,8kg rear spring for the CRZ rears. Overall with the factory 5kg/4kg setup the car will only lower about 1.8" but with a shorter 7" up front you will be able to go about 2.5 inches in the front and the rears will go about 3 inches total. The ride was smooth even at full stiff on the dampening settings. The valving on the coils are great and this is my second set that i've had (the other set was on my Evo 9 mr) Apexi coils are great overall and for the price you can't really beat it.

Spoon Calipers Installed with PWJDM Street Rotors.

Apexi N+ Coilovers with Custom 7 K front Springs and 4K rear springs.

Before the Spoon Calipers... still 12" Rotors fill up the Wheels pretty well.
