Default Effect of lowering springs

This might be a stupid question, but I searched and couldn't really find an answer.

I'm looking at getting either Tanabe or Swift springs. The Tanabe springs say they lower the car 1.3" front and 1.0" back. My daily commute includes 2 different parking garages, one with a pretty steep entrance that I am currently clearing just fine.

Is the drop noticeable enough that I will start bottoming out when going over and into things I previously had no problem with?

very possible to have bottoming out problems after lowering, you are dropping the cars ride height. mine is lowered with the swift springs. mine scrapes on steep inclines/declines but no problems with average speed bumps. some driveways i have to take at an angle to avoid a scrape.

wow if you scrape with springs you must not know how to drive a lowered car.

Im on coils and am lower than springs and have no problems. The short wheelbase helps a lot.

Agree with TinTin. My EG hatch is a crap ton lower than my CR-Z and I still get around in it without scrapeing. Just make sure that you are going slow and taking everything at an angle.

with an EG you will scrape the header before you scrape the chassis too.

i scrape now but thats because the KSK midpipe has a metal "coupler" where the pipe is slip fit and the screws point down. The screws hang about 1 inch lower than the exhaust does and over some speedbumps I scrape the screws. I rarely ever scrape otherwise

nope, slip fit - not a problem though - no leaks or anything

trust me - if you ever sell the exhaust and need to ship it you will be thrilled that its slip fit. I still have nightmares about shipping my HKS midpipe.

i can see where slip fit will be good, TBH though welded is like super guarantee that there's no leaks. Clamps make me nervous and feel like ive molested my car. Plus they arent as clean.
