Default Tein Hi-Tech Springs + H&R 20mm DRM Spacers with OEM 16"

Hey guys, I just placed an order for Tein hi tech springs and H&R spacers
5/114.3 64.1 Stud 12x1.5 DRM 20mm Part# 4065640

Can anyone confirm the spacers work with the OEM 16" wheels?

The stuff should come by the end of the week, I'll be sure to post before and after pics, along with another step by step DIY.

BTW what do you guys recommend doing with the front? I'm thinking leaving it without spacers for now should be fine. Although I do have an option to run 3 or 5mm spacers. Is it safe enough to do with OEM studs? This is something I wish was similar to euros, where you just use longer bolts as you increase spacer size.

5mm is usually the largest spacer you'd want to run without extended studs. the rear is the one that really needs the spacer for looks. before buying the front spacers, drop it and see if you like how it looks. If not, you can measure from the wheel to the fender and figure out what size spacer you need to get your desired look.

Imo the front doesn't need spacing.
I spaced my rear and what joy, it looks much better now.

Even if you were to space the front, be sure to measure it as it's been mentioned, as you don't want your tyres scraping on the arches.

Sounds like a plan, I think I'll be happy with just the rears poking out 20mm.

Could you please post a pic or 2 of how it looks, thanks

Maybe... unless you go with the DRM which has it's own studs?

Going with DRMs would mean 20mm or wider spacer in order to clear the stock studs, unless I'm not understanding this right. It works in the rear according to my question being answered in this thread, but I definitely don't need 20mm up front.

I would say 3 - 10mm max up front. H&R and Ichiba 5mm kits both come with longer studs to replace the OEM ones. I've never replaced studs, is it difficult?

I have 20MM H&R DRM in the rear and nothing in the front. OEM 17". Very flush. With the Eibachs 1" drop. Also handles much better.

No complaints.
