I suppose you could argue that all of the CR-Z's are being sold, and thus are hard to find. However, I've only seen 3 or 4 on the road since they began making them. I wish Honda would build more of them. Do you think maybe Honda is holding back, and reducing stock before they announce a new version? |

I think they're going through some production difficulties due to the floods. Don't take my word for it tho. I've actually been seeing quite a few around here in Oklahoma. Ever since I got my CR-Z in May of 2011, I've only recently been seeing CR-Z's recently. I have never seen them on the road before December. I wouldn't worry though. I'm sure there will be more CR-Z's sent to the bay, just matter of time.

There are a few in the Sacramento area. Also a few slightly used, ie really low miles. I bought mine at Mel Rapton and felt lucky because it was the only one I've seen in months that fit my requirements in terms of color and options. So keep looking and try Craigs list. They really are a rare bird.
So far I like it... after 6weeks of comuting. |

Hello, I'm a guy who having been looking for a Honda CRZ for several weeks. This is my experiences so far...
1. Take your time. Time is on your side and your best weapon. 2. Call up/Email every Honda dealer in your State. Even the dealer that is very far away from you. I've check with Honda Dealer from El Paso and I'm in Houston (11 hours drive!) 3. Be firm, MUST WALK IF YOU'RE NOT WILLING TO PAY and make sure it's OTD price that they quoted you. No dealer financing. Secured a loan with your credit union/bank. I got 1.99 rate with my Credit Union and no dealer was able to beat it. I walked out on a deal because the rate they give me is higher than what they said I might get. 4. CRZ is a very niche car. Young kids isn't buying it 'cause most of them are broke or unemployed. Heck, this is what one dealer told me. You'll think that dealer is holding on to them because of the production, blah, blah, blah...Now, You turn your thinking into a seller mindset. I got a car that is very under power for sport car and not very fuel efficient for a green car. The car is suppose to targeting young adults but guess what the current enviroment is bad enough that the target young adult ain't got money to buy so I'm stuck with a car that only certain people is willing to buy. Each day that sit on my lot, I'm losing money. I'll gladly use the "rare" as a selling point to jack up the price! 5. Check out the 2011 model that is either trade in or left over. I was pretty dead set on 2012 but I think if you can get a good price on 2011. It is worth buying 2011 because there isn't enough changes between 2011 and 2012. The warranty is still there and the price can be couple thousand less. 6. Don't be too dead set on Honda CRZ. It's a nice car but take your time to search for it and if you can't find any good deal consdier other car. Sorry Honda CRZ owners, I'm not dissing the car. I'm just telling the OP to consider other options if he can't find a decent deal on CRZ. Just remember this, car is like fish/women. you think you find the one that you love but if you are not happy with the price or whatever. WALK! There are plenty of fish/car out there. I learn this yesterday. The BMW dealer is dead set on 2011 Honda CRZ EX CVT w/Navi OTD price that he gave me and told me that there is no room to go lower. I send him a email after I test drive the car. I thank him for working with me and tell him the service alert problem and the high mileage (17k+) in just one year and ask him to meet me in the middle. He called me back today and told me it's a deal but someone else on this forum pointed out the car's high mileage and if the BMW dealer won't fix the service alert. It is probably not worth to get the car and guess what, today I found 3 2011 Honda CRZ EX CVT with lower mileage. Time is your friend (if you are not in the hurry to get a car), be firm and willing to walk. This is what I have learned so far and I hope it can help you in your CRZ search. |

I have only seen 1 so far driving around the state of Wisconsin & I liked it so well I went to 3 dealers & test drove 1 & ordered 1 due in Mar. However 1 dealer didnt have any at all. The 2nd had 3 & the 3rd had 3 all manual trans which my wife is reluctant to drive. The dealers say they can discount much because they dont have "wiggle room" with a low cost car. But I did manage to get a $500 discount. The dealers here are far & few between, 100's of miles apart. Looking forward to march & my new ride.
