Hondas aren't supposed to be super close tolerance, but I have a feeling that these badges are supposed to be fully flush with the car. After my hatch was fixed, I pointed out an area of orange peel under the H badge and made the body shop fix it. I think they took off all the badges to fix it and then literally stuck the badges back on with foam adhesisve. Now, they're falling off! Going to make them fix it, but I want to know if I should tell them A) make it flush or B) one millimeter gap max with no sticky foam showing, please!!!! I hate this body shop. It. Never. Ends.

My CRZ emblem and hybrid emblems were removed a few weeks ago at a body shop and there was very little gap. The body shop slid blue painters tape under the edge of the emblems and used dental floss to basically cut the 3m adhesive. Then they used a crazy air powered rubber wheel to shave off the left over gray padded adhesive.
There was just enough room to fit the dental floss under the emblem. Hope that helps. |

Yeah I did the same thing myself...its a very minimal gap to fit 8lb fishing line (what I used) to take it off...unfortunately i didnt have measurements, but if they used a cheap foam tape to put it back on, they should def fix that!!!!!
