My Crz was pulling a little to left while driving. Dealer said it was the 'road'. While washing it the other say, i noticed that the car leans to the driver side. I took out a tape measure and checked the floor to top of wheel well height. I found all were different and that the drivers side was so low the car leaned (not tire pressure). I took it to dealership and it was totally noticable. They checked the same measurements I did and were shocked. As much as 1 inch difference. They filed a complaint with Honda USA directly. They called me the next day to say that Honda said it was in 'Normal tolerance' to be off by so much. They mechanic couldn't believe it and checked all the other CRZ on the lot. They were also off the same as mine! BTW the left front tire was defective, which caused the pull. Has anyone else parked there CRz and noticed a lean to the driver side?? They did an alignment too and the rear is way out of alignment but cant be fixed as there is not adjustment! Any body leaning?? |

Yes.. I think I read somewhere, around when the crz was released, that it's set up for right hand drive so the right hand should be a bit higher, expecting the weight of the driver to compress it a little.
An inch higher is a bit much, and mine isn't off by that.. but my car is lower on the left, too. |

Have to go check heights on our CR-Z tomorrow.
If it is out of whack, my wife (passenger) will just have to gain some weight. How much more than the driver will the passenger have to weigh, in order to balance level? 130 lbs? Lets see, I am 140 lbs, so passenger would need to be 270 lbs? She's weighed 109 lbs for years now, so maybe not the solution. Spring compressors on the right side?

Haven't noticed the height difference, but my CR-Z also pulls to the left very slightly. I also was told by the dealer that it was the road... but I don't believe it. I think I read somewhere on Tirerack.com that manufacturers sometimes align the car so that it purposely pulls slightly to the left to account for most road. Didn't get the car's alignment check to see if that was true.

Pre-loading the alignment to compensate for road crown is normal, but your service department should at least check the alignment and prove that it is normal based on the factory spec sheet.
Pulling to the left in North America is pretty abnormal since all crowned roads in the US fall towards the right of the road, not towards the center. It is also important to differentiate between a "pull" and an off center steering wheel. Being aware of what these two symptoms mean and how to tell the difference between them is important when speaking to your service rep. |

Checked our CR-Z today, in the garage, flat concrete.
Totally stock vehicle, tires at 32 psi. Measured at the center of each wheel, from the floor up to the lip of the fender opening: LF 25-5/8 inches RF 25-5/8 inches LR 26 inches RR 26 inches So in our case the wife can rest easy, no weight gain needed. OP may have something amiss with his CR-Z? Early build number?
