Default Anyone use the Honda touch up paint?

I am curious how well the touchup paint from honda matches the actual paint especially those of you who have the PWP. I got a lot of rock dings on the front and am going to get a full clear bra next month. The body shop said they could touch it up but it would not look perfect since the PWP is a two step paint with the pearl but it would definetally look better than it is now.

It's tough to get a match.. The basecoat is lighter, and the topcoat darkens it as well as adds the flecks. It's tricky to get just enough topcoat on to match. I've had good enough results w/ small chips. Larger chips and scratches remain visible. I'll have to have both bumpers repainted now, if I want it perfect again. (and I think I do )

Yeah i just had a new hood put on which was blended into both fenders and the driver side door, mirror and rocker due to hitting a deer and a coworker ding on the door(i know my luck sucks) and a day after i got the car back with fresh paint on the entire front my my car except the bumper(no damage to bumper from deer) i get a big rock chip right on the front. So i made a deal with my body shop to buy the bra if they touched up the bumper and the ding in the new paint of the hood. I will say they did do an excellent job matching the new paint and the old. I could not tell any difference whatsoever in the color.

I use the brush for both coats, but i rub the brush against the edge on the same place over and over to get the brush to flatter out. Then I use the edge I've created on the brush to lightly touch up. It's not perfect, but it works.

I had the touch-up paint for free on my PWP, they works great as i had a minor cut on the lower bumper (just below the fog light) after a camping trip back in summer, the cut itself is deep enough to show the black material under the paint.

you need to be 'patient' when using the touch-up paint tho, as I need to apply multiple layers (more than 5 times) to have it cover, and each wait time in between from 5-15mins. but result was good, at least you won't notice it unless crawling and look up close on the lower bumper.

I can take a pic. tomorrow to show.

That would be great if you could.
