Default How did you discover the Z?

Many people came across the Z because they follow Honda, or they follow sports cars, or because they follow hybrids.

Mine is different. I did a search on Edmunds for cars under $25k with Bluetooth. Of course, the Z came up, I went "what is THAT?!", and fell in love..

Any other interesting stories?

There were rumblings from various sources that Honda was creating a new CRX before the car was announced as the CR-Z.

I imagine that's how quite a few of us first heard about the car.

I had searched around online for a car I could see myself in. Decided that was probably a civic (I have never liked a single hatchback-style car, even the crx to a large extent was not a look that really did much for me.)

So I then proceeded to go down to the dealership to see what my options were new/used. I was talking with the Salesman at the lot when I turned around to say something to him and saw the Z behind him. I don't think I even let him finish his sentence before I said "WHAT IS THAT!"...the rest is History

2012 Pearl black/black is now mine!

I saw one in a parking lot and thought it was sweet. Then I forgot about it.

A few months later, my husband said I needed to buy a new car. My Monte Carlo was starting to rust and it was time to let it go. I didn't want a new car, I wanted another Monte Carlo SS. My husband said "What about that Honda you saw?"

We went to the dealer on that Saturday and I purchased it. I just had to wait for them to find me the one I wanted.

I was driving a 2005 Dodge Ram 2500 4X4 HEMI getting 9mpg spending $500 a month in gas and I decided that for the $500 a month in gas I was paying I could probably get a brand new car and pay for gas and insurance. So in Sept 2010 I went to Honda to look at the Si and happen to see a small blue 2door car and I asked about it, but it was an auto and I wanted a manual. The salesman said they had a 6MT coming in, in a couple weeks, so I told him as soon as the truck shows up CALL ME, and he did on Oct 6th 2010 and I bought it that day just how it came off the truck.

That's almost exactly how I discovered the CR-Z, as well!

I did a Google search with the words "sport hybrid." And thankfully the CRZ came up first.

Saw a review in the newspaper in early 2011 (a GOOD review, even), liked the looks, and the price - especially for a hybrid. Followed news about the car for a few months, then you lot got me excited about the idea. Drove my Avalanche to a business meeting near Toronto (that's 200 km or $70 in gas away) and meeting happened to be next to a Honda dealership. By then, I had already test driven one, but wasn't sure yet. Discussed with that dealer, then called my two local dealers on my drive home. Pulling off at my exit, I saw a blue CR-Z on the highway. A SIGN lol! Bought Amy that night.
