Everyone knows that this kicks in while standing still wating for traffic lights aso. When i eventually clutched out, put it in first gear and tried to drive, the car refused to go out of the autostopmode... I tried everything, and at in the end i just had to stop the car completely, and start it again. This happened twice but no more!! Maybe it just was a bug in the system, but i'm going to check it out with the dealership tomorrow... Anyone experienced something like this??

KAPPA: It did'nt start wether i clutched in or out... whatever i did the autostop did not deactivate.
ATTESMYTHE: I having a feeling on your idea, but the dealership didn't ![]() FORTY: No it's not the oil. Over here the cars are so often in for regular services so i haven't changed the oil myself yet. Only the dealership has. Even so, you have to use your car pretty much before you have to change oil yourselves. It has a very good lifetime. My dealership told me so anyway. But... After the visit at the garage there is nothing wrong at all with the car. The oiltype is correct and levels are fine, and it can't be the sensors since it hasn't happened again. I will write it off as a temporary bug in the system...

I've had this happen to me probably 7 times in the last 5 months. Clutch in, put it in first gear....nothing. But I put it back in neutral, then back in first and it starts right up. Said something to the dealer while I was getting the recall fixed, and of course he didn't know a thing about manuals and just kept telling me you have to release the brake... So I gave up. Starting to regret getting the Z and I haven't even owned it for year.

I've had the issue to where in first gear I begin to release the clutch only to realize I'm not going anywhere and the car is still off, so I have to shift out and back in to move. Dunno if thats normal or not but I'm not a fan.

I know this does not help but on my CVT model it seems to not autostop as often as it use to. Today I drove all over town on several trips with the AC on and it only shut off once. It's totally unpredictable. I wish I could just turn it off.
I have 20k on it now. The dealers are clueless. |

Yes you're right everyone of you... The autostop is very unpredictable regarding when it kicks in or not. I hate it. (I have the 6MT Sleighman, but our "problems" are the same anyway)
![]() And sometimes it does not deactivate when i release the brake and put it in gear, but if i then set it into neutral, press down the brake , putting it first, and release the brake again, it will deactivate. But a couple of times even that didnt work. The dealer looked like a questionmark when i told him. But i will keep an eye on this and keep a "log" of when this happens. Thanx for all the response guys
