Auto-Stop disabled with defrost on?

I was wondering if anyone else noticed that the auto-stop feature seems to be disabled when the defroster is turned on. Is this normal?

Yea, when the engine off what will help produce the heat to the windows? It also like this with AC unless it is high enough that doesn't effect the temp difference. Normally like 70 I think.
