It refers to the joy one gets from driving their car, every time they do it. Porsches definitely provide permagrin! So much so that I thought I'd always have to drive one to be happy. But now, almost a full year into my CRZ ownership - I am delighted to report that the CRZ delivers permagrin! I love this crazy little car just as much as I loved the Porsches. It's a real joy to enjoy the car so much while it's reasonably priced and thrifty on gas! So how about you? Anyone else get "permagrin" from their CRZ? |

I got a bad case of permagrin. While Porsches give thrills, this car has character. It's more than just driving it. Whenever my wife comes back from a trip in the Z, I grill her for a full report.

Thanks for introducing that term to us, Derek. I think "permagrin" pretty much sums CR-Z ownership up perfectly.
I saw a lovely grey 911 Turbo while walking through the parking lot yesterday, and mouthed "nice car" to the driver. She smiled back and gave me a wave, but it didn't make me think any less of my car. In fact, as she drove past the CR-Z in the lot, I wound up staring at my car instead of watchting her leave. Permagrin, indeed!

The CRZ delivers permagrin for me and also for everyone who rides with me. The other night instead of parking like a normal person I whipped the car sideways with a handbrake turn and let the car slide into the parking spot. My girlfriend riding with me: "Did that really just happen?"
My little brother watching from his MR2: ![]() And thats how I was declared officially the coolest person ever. I love my CRZ. |
