What I actually get though is 2011 CRZ review, text videos pictures. I know that whenever it appears the 2012 will have black leather for the black car. Is that all that changes ? |

Honda doesn't usually make major changes to a vehicle that is only a year old. Color changes pertaining to the interior and exterior is usually all there is, if that. I wouldn't expect a significant change or face lift for at least another two years.
It is normal to not see any change besides a seat-color change. But there will still be plenty of people making new threads about the next model year, complaining about the lack of a change, or some souped-up turbo charged K24 supercharger AWD sunroof and LED headlight-equipped Mugen Type R variant that someone over heard a teenage-car-porter at their local Honda dealership talking about. |

Bringing a car to market takes years and even major revisions can take awhile. Honda has only finally officially caved that a "hot" CR-Z is coming this past summer which would have already the time to start producing 2012 models.
If we see a major change it will likely come as a 2013 model sometime next summer. I'd also call for a New York concept spring 2012. |

I was looking for a 2012 and all I could find were 2011 leftovers with the dealer telling me "no 2012's until MAY". Didn't want one that was sitting for a year, so called around until I found a dealer that told me he would have a new 2012 by end of November. It came in on the boat, made its way to the dealership and was in my driveway within a day. I think I might be the first in the US to take delivery!
In answer to the Q, yes it looks like the only diff is that I have black seats (got the black pearl paint). |

Yeah, I was going to take a 2011 without hesitation, until we went to the lot and all 3 they had there were stone cold dead - batteries that is. Having already read the manual I knew about the 'run 30 minutes once a month' rule to keep the batteries healthy, so I figured that's not a good sign.

Did you know guys, for the big batteries you have to lock the steering wheel, then the big batteries will shut off
