Default Morning dew/rain wont clear on side windows when powered down/up

For the first time ever in a car I cant just power the window down and up and clear the morning dew or rain off the side windows so i can see safely. Powering down in CRZ does nothing the window comes up as before. I suppose in dusty conditions it may help avoid scratches but in Scotland its damp a lot.

The rear vertical glass window also gets dirty very quickly which has got me thinking about window treatments that are hydrophobic ( my previous CIVIC rear window had such a coating and worked well).

How do you guys find the sides windows. I could get a silicon blade ( just for the windows as no way its going near the paintwork) but really dont want the hassle every time I come out to go to work or go home from work tbh.

I had a small silicon blade for the rear vertical glass (usually use that to clear off rain water after driving on the road, so the dirty water won't dry up and reduce the visibility for the lower vertical window next time i drive). The small silicon blade also used for the side windows as well, but rarely needed it as I apply the rain repellent solutions first day after i pickup from dealership and apply that once in a while during the summer (just to increase the layer and prepare for the worse in winter).

used Rain-X glass treatment on my EP3 before, and Castrol Super Clean Accuvision when one time the Rain-X was out-of-stock. Both works great!

I have tried Rain X on cars before and found it causing the inside to mist up and it smeared when wipers were used. They also sell FOGX now which i suppose was put out to combat that issue.

don't put it inside. and you are supposed to wipe it off. just like waxing a car. I do mine all the time with no problems.

Is there a difference between getting RainX applied by a car wash and buying some and applying by hand?

I might have been a bit unclear sorry,I know how Rainx goes on. I found though that when it was cold after applying to the outside windows that the inside misted up faster than normal. a bit of reading discovered that apparently its a side effect of Rain X hence why they sell Fog X for the insides.

I find is odd that Honda decided not to make the rear window hydrophobic like my Civic which also had no wiper. I can only assume that you cant put a demister element on a plastic window. The demister on the rear bottom on the CRZ is certainly better.

I would love to use the following glass sealant but it requires a decent 15 degrees minimum temperature to cure properly and I have no garage
