Default Keeping my Z!

I had a momentary loss of sanity during SEMA and thought I wanted a Veloster. After chilling for a few days, and getting home and actually driving it again, Its a keeper!

I am growing weary of the black wheels though. Think I might change them up to dark blue, gunmetal or bronze. The wife hates bronze though. Might even just go aftermarket and get 18s

It would be a shame to part with something that nice to drive, and to look at!
Glad you returned to your senses in time - you are too far away for me to stage an intervention!

Although if wwe had to lose you, i guess the Veloster would be a fair competitor (others here will disagree)

As for the wheels, i dunno. Bronze is nice, but might be too 1970's z-28-ish for your wife.
Are those just painted 16" OEM wheels with blue nuts now?

Let us know what you choose.

Hey Mike,

I think the black wheels look cool, dark blue might be cool too though. I agree with Canadian bronze is a little too old school. Get yourself a powder coating rig, and have a different color every few months!!!

I have driven a few different cars lately. Seems the new car bug has bitten a lot of people lately. I haven't driven anything that makes me wish I had gotten it instead of my Z. The Veloster is sweet though. Haven't driven one, but just going by looks, and published specs it seems a pretty nice ride. Several of my friends still can't believe the Z has as much get up and go as it does for a hybrid. The look is also so unique. I love driving a car that doesn't look like anything else on the road. I don't have to worry about finding it on a parking lot unless two big SUVs park on either side of it.

Funny you should mention that, I own a powdercoating business! (of course it says that on the side of my 370 in my sig)

Canadian, they are the stock wheels powdercoated satin black with a blue powdercoated time attack ring on the outside, along with blue lugnuts.

I actually claybarred, polished with the porter cable and waxed it today!!!

That Veloster does look enticing. Especially with all those new technological gadgets and stuff..

Hell, I might have even bought it had I not stumbled upon the great deal I got on my CR Z. With a low price of 24~k and all those features, its definitely worth it...

...On a second thought, I think i'll stick with my Honda

I might buy one if I didn't have the Z yet, especially since a turbo model is coming out in January.

But with the CRZ, even 9 months after I bought it, the private sale value according to KBB is actually more than I paid for the car, and the trade in is just slightly less. That could be due to supply issues, but I'm guessing the Hyundais resale value would never even come close.
