Thumbs up Consumer Report - Zinger

A small matter of interest; the December edition of Canadian Consumer Reports has rated the CR-Z's predicted reliability percentage as highest in a field of 16 sporty cars. The Mazda MX-5 Miata was a close second whereas the Mini Cooper Hatchback's rating was second only to the Nissan Z as a bottom sniffer.

I read that Ford didn't fare very well either, with their new Focus and Fiesta, and that MB and BMW fared far worse in the luxury market than Lexus (not as bad as Jaguar, but I guess that's not surprising). What was surprising is the improvement of Jeep products.

Still, good to hear that the Z is finally getting more respect!

Where does the Hyundai Veloster or Genesis compare on that list?

Maybe the Veloster won't be on that list since its brand new 2012.

But nonetheless, happy to hear maintenance is low on the CR Z although mine already is undergoing some for the window motor and radio system. Completely stopped working lmao.

The U.S. was like this too but still gives it a "can not recomend" status.

Wow... I mean, I have a deep-seeded hatred for Consumer Reports, but two-seater? Really?

How could you possibly knock a car for being a two seater?? If you don't want two seats, then don't buy the car.

That really is a head scratcher to me.
They review a two-seater and knock it off for having 2 seats. It's like having a sirloin steak in a steakhouse. When the chef ask for feedback, consumer complains the steak being a meat.

Yeah, seems a little ridiculous to me.

That is ridiculous. If you want four seats, then you don't buy a car with 2 seats.
