Every 2012 Honda sold in the US seems to come with the new Navi head unit except for the CR-Z. I'm basing this on the pictures on Honda USA but has anyone heard if this is indeed the case? Doesn't the new head unit in the Civic, Fit, and Insight have A2DP streaming? Also, what's the deal with the 2012's? Is this related to the earthquake? There are NO 2012's on the lots yet despite most dealers saying September would be the arrive time period. And the only 2011's left appear to be mugen-ized versions. I'll probably be in the market for a 6-speed in January but there aren't even units to test drive here in California. |

The 2012 CRZs are arriving very slowly. Cars.com lists 26 2012's for sale at various dealers in the US. If you check the dealerships' websites, the cars do have 2012 VIN numbers. So hopefully the trickle will soon become more of a flood.

It's just as bad here in the UK.
I ordered mine in June with an initial delivery date of mid Sept. I've just had the 4th "we are sorry but it's been delayed" call from the dealer with the latest delivery estimate being 18th Nov. |

I searched for a 6MT EX (w/o Navi) in Black, White or Silver during the month of September in California. Absolutely nothing (except two 'junked-up' cars). Even contacted an auto broker who found nothing. I ended up buying a car from Boston, MA (Bernardi Honda, Brockton) and driving it to CA. Here's a search from cars.com and here is one from AutoTrader. 14 and 9 cars. |

I'm the guy who's been told January for my '12 EX 6MT. I ordered it in early October. I think Honda's very first initial shipment of 2012s made it here (U.S.) before the Thailand floods screwed Honda again.
Though, jma, you may be in luck: A photo of the interior of the supercharged CR-Z prototype at SEMA has what I think is the new Honda NAV unit installed. The upper dash even has a mild redesign to accomodate it ... ... though that could mean it won't actually be in production CR-Zs until 2013, since the supercharged CR-Z is rumored to be the Si version. Nevertheless, it shows that Honda's designed a dash part specifically to accommodate the new Nav. |
