Default Switched out my PA Plates to CA Plates - Two really?

A mixed day as I switched out my PA plates for CA plates. I solute the old and welcome the new. But what is this, they gave me two plates! I don't want to put the front plate on. OK Maybe I will put it on.

I never understood why some states do this while others don't. I'm starting to miss the PA privilege.

Ive always had to have two plates here in MN. It stinks. Least you got to drive without the front plate for a while.

Alberta dropped the front plate quite awhile ago. Have always been happy not to have the front plate spoiling the visual lines on the front of the car.

Tell the state DMV it'll save money making only one plate, maybe they'll change it

I grew up in Maryland, they require two plates too. I think they just like to make sure they can get you coming or going. I'd laugh at that but it's not funny, they really think like that in MD.

TGILIF - thank god I live in (north) Florida!

They will make more money from the intersection camera tickets. California has had that law for years and they aren't going to change it. It's California for goodness sake, you don't have any individual rights any longer. Welcome to Socialism.

They're made by prisoners. It's essentially slave labor, the extra plate probably only costs a few more cents ($0.05 metal and $0.01 paint) and generates much more in fines from citations.

The red light cameras have been voted down, they're no longer in operation or issuing citations in Los Angeles.

I'd keep the front plate on, it's a reason to stop you and look for more problems, or throw the book at you. There's no reason to invite getting stopped by law enforcement, just because you don't like the way it looks, you can't see it when you're driving anyway.

The more you are in CA, the more you will miss PA. Welcome to the nanny state. I cant wait to leave this place.

Yeah been here for 10 months and miss PA/Philly. Good thing I get to fly back every few months it seems.

Yeah these 2 plates just makes no sense. I mean the back at least they make you add the registration stickers but the front don't even have these so in my opinion, it's pointless to have it.

But either way I need to abide by the books.
