Default iDont know

When I go to hook up my iPod sometimes it wont load. Sometimes I have to unplug and plug it back in several times to get it to work. Sometimes it says "unsupported version" or "upload failed". This happens more often if I play the games on the iPod but I do return it to the main screen. Yes I did update the iPod when this started happening. Any idea's?

Try powering it off then back on before connecting it (and after playing games).

How old is your iPod?

sometimes it helps me when I get "unsupported version" or whatever error to just turn off the head unit for a while, then turn it back on.

The iPod is about three years old. I will try powering it off all the way. I usually just go to the main screen then hit the button to turn the screen off.

I tried that but immediately does the whole "upload failed" thing. Thanks though.

That has happened to me on my android phone. The manual says that error code means the device isn't compatible... which is just crap.

I turned the car off and on, and it was fine after. I assume turning the nav unit off/on will do the same thing (I have EX).

With IOS, I have found that after playing around with a game - especially one of the larger and graphic intense non native - that I have to do a hard reboot or otherwise it impacts other apps - both 3rd party and native. Might have something to do with it?

So it does it with the Navi systems too? Interesting because I don't have navi..

So you are saying "Angry Birds" is making the CR-Z malfunction?

ummm. Could be..

No, but seriously - could be interfering with the actual IPOD native app and its ability to establish comms with the USB connection. Might be worth it to try and reboot the IPOD before you take it out to the car. Worth a try?

Yes, Angry Birds is the problem. You need to play that on an iPad, not on an iPod.

I've had it happen a few times, sometimes upon restarting the car with the ipod still plugged in. Sometimes it's fine but once every 10 times I need to unplug.
