Default droid navigation on Hands free?

I have a CRZ with no navi. It would be great if the droid navi would come through the bluetoothed hands free just like a phone call. does anyone have a fix or code bypass for this?

Unfortunately, there's no way to initiate your phone's "voice control" capability from the Honda HandsFreeLink system. All of the HandsFreeLink voice control is internal to itself.

However, if your phone has the ability to activate the voice control feature from the phone itself, then it will accept commands through HandsFreeLink. I've done this with my iPhone, calling people in my phone's contacts or playing a playlist (through the aux port, not the USB port; when it's connected to the USB port, the stereo controls music selection). If there's a way to put a shortcut to voice commands on your phone's home screen, or link it to a button on the side, that might be the way to go...

i don't think he means voice commands, i think he means have the Navigator voice direct you through the car speakers using the Bluetooth system.

Then all he'd need to do is plug it into the aux port right?

Of course, then ya can't listen to anything else but music on your phone or an internet radio app or whatever...

It would be great though if someone could figure out a way to make it work. My CR-Z has nav and I still use my droid nav instead.

I'm curious as to why you favor the droid navi?

I find it easier and quicker to use. But mostly because the honda nav doesn't have real time traffic reports that give you the fastest route at that exact time.

Do you really need to HEAR the navigation? Even then, just turn up the phone and lower the usb/cd/radio volume.

Or do like said before, plug into the aux port and run Pandora/TuneIn Radio/etc.
