Question Driving through water

Here in western Japan we've been under a Typhoon for a few days now. On my way to work this morning I found myself on a road that was covered with water of about 50cms (or there abouts.) depth. I wasn't in a position to turn around so I had to go through it.

I took it slowly and steadily.

While I was driving through, the IMA system alarm popped up!!!!! Caused me quite a bit of concern. I couldn't stop half way so I just kept going.

Work wasn't too far away, so when I stopped, I tried to start the car again, and luckily the alarm didn't show up again. My car doesn't feel any different and the IMA is still charging and using the battery as it was.

Anyone else had this happen before?

Wow, it takes a braver man than me to drive a 100V battery through half a meter of water!

If you go fast enough, you will hydroplane and lose all control.

I think I'd still be more worried about the gas engine and hydrolock then the electrical system.

Yeah we'd look more like this. Without the engine restarting
