I actually liked the exhaust note on the car - one of the "plusses" for me. And I'm not 18 anymore!
![]() It doesn't announce itself as a "fast" car - but that would be false advertising now, wouldn't it? Try: , or Exhaust Sound Clip Thread Bottom line - if you are under about 3,000 rpm, not different than a normal vehicle. With the stock exhaust (North American model, anyway), it gets a bit louder as you redline it (but not annoyingly so). Not sure what exhaust setup you'll wind up getting in Oz, though.

We like our oem stock exhaust sound, quiet on the outside, sporty inside.
We can barely even see the exhaust outlet on the car, which is good, now we can quietly "whoosh" away at stoplights and on-ramps. Inside, sound seems to be getting even "sportier" at 500 miles on it

I love the sound of the exhaust when the car starts after auto-stop. It reminds me of the soft but loud bang of F1 cars from a distance when they hit full throtle after a slow corner. Of course its no where near matching F1 car noise, but it just reminds me of it and I love it.
Having said that, my ears felt a little deaf after my first two hour drive, which never happened in my previous TSX. But this is the only time the exhaust ever felt at all loud, and only noticed after I turned off the car and went into a quiet area. |
