I'm really sorry to hear about this.
Something similar happened to me on my first ever new car (1993 del sol, green.) Someone crunched the door in while backing out, and never copped to it. I had that damage the whole time I had the car. Sucked. Happened again to a 2001 Accord v6 - but this time it was my wife who backed into it! Didn't fix that one either. |

I've happen to have had several nice cars in my lifetime. I developed the habit of parking far away from other folks at public places. Never the less, One third of the time whenever I return from whatever I was doing sombody will be parked next to me. Hundreds of spots available and they gotta park next to me when I park 20 spaces away from the next closest car. Sometimes it's another nice car, I don't mind that so much cause I hope they'll be as careful as me. Most times it's someones dirty, worn out POS. I just can't figure it out. And I still get door dings.
Paintless dent repair.....that's the ticket. |

Sorry to hear about your car
![]() I always try to find a spot in between two nicer cars. And NEVER park next to a car with child seats or cars with the drivers seat positioned all the way forward. Also never be the first or last car when parking on the street. I parked my old Accord on the street a few years back, as the first car in the line of cars. I got hit-and-run by a city BUS! Took out my whole front suspension and knocked the car into the curb damaging the wheels on the other side. It was inches from hitting the car behind as well. $6000 in damages, not counting the wheels. I am paranoid when parking, but with good reason. |
