400quid doesnt seem like much for your RX8 but I guess I dont know how bad it is....

The CRZ you are looking at is the GT that we'd love to have gotten here in the US. I would say that seems like a pretty fair value.

Thanks Spicciani
I photo I took yesterday of my RX8 as mentioned for PX
Apart from a good engine (Last MOT the guy testing it could not believe how good the emissions were for a rotary)
It has the following issues and problems...
Clutch - nearly gone - slips if to much gas is applied
Exhaust backbox blowing - CAT OK
Bodywork beginning to fail - spent 750 last Jan to get it through it's MOT.
Rear tyres - both have inner wear
ABS warning light on - Mechanic says it's a faulty sensor
Immobiliser - In this cold weather it stops any power going down to the starter - nothing to do with the engine or battery. Have to leave the key in the on position to eventually get it to recognise the key.

Is it worth having extra warranty that the garage is offering? Get 3 months as standard. Mentioned 12.00 per month... but over five years that is 720.00??

I don't know that it's ever worthwhile to get a Honda warranty. Between their reliability, and a general attitude toward their customers, Honda seem to make it redundant. That one seems to have fairly low mileage, as well.

Not likely to need that extra warranty, but I'd just tuck away that 12.00 per month for five years, and use the 720.00 to go on Holiday!

I purchased the car but I did mention to them that the red battery light came on while I was on the test drive and the salesmen said that was because it has been standing and it will have very little charge.

I have just been out on a test run and it seems there is some sort of problem as the charge/assist indicator and the multi information display (MID) goes off and the Red Battery indicator is on.

IMA in displayed in the MID section as well as the IMA text in the Top LH side.

I have found this from another forum: IMA light and reset? - Civinfo

This seems like what is happening to mine... I wonder if the main Hybrid Battery is on it's way out and if they would honour it as a warranty item??

Also the possible workaround that worked for some on that forum topic (turning off the ignition) would work and if any of you can enlighten me?

Looks like a problem with the IMA battery that should be addressed by the Honda dealer, and covered under warranty. I'd take it back to have them troubleshoot the issue before doing anything else.

Thanks litz

I got a bit emotional having a final look at my old RX8 before handing over the keys.... but I have to say I was surprised how the drivers seat and steering setup in the CR-Z is so like RX8

So I should go to a Local Honda Dealer rather than the Subaru used car garage I bought it from then?
