Default Might be trading in for a new CRZ...

Yes, its true I already have a CRZ. Some of you know about the problems Ive had with it, and Ive been back and forth with the dealer service department a few times now. They say theres nothing wrong with the car and theres nothing more they can do, however I can still notice that something isnt quite right under very specific conditions. Most people probably wouldnt notice it at all.

So today I stopped by the dealer to see if they had any new ones on the lot I could test drive and see if it felt any different. They didnt have one, but said they could take mine on trade (for a loss on my part) and put me in a new one for about the same payments. This is something Ive actually considered so we talked for a bit.

I was able to work them down to a very good number, they offered me about $2300 less than my loan payoff for the car, but took $2200 off the sticker price for the new one which they still would need to track down from another dealer. Id be paying half the interest compared to my current loan and only $15 more a month for a shorter term.

Im strongly considering taking this offer, starting with a clean slate on the car. The only work Id be losing are the poorly tinted windows and claybar job I did a while back. All other mods Ive already taken off of my car.

What do you guys think about this offer? Its making me a little nervous to jump at this deal. Although I have been thinking a white one could be nice

The dealer is already tracking one down for me, so itd be kinda hard to back out at this point but Id still like your opinions.

^ Ditto - But drive the new one first and try to replicate your issue.. Before you take the plunge and sign on the dotted line.

Okay thanks, I was leaning that direction too. And they are going to let me drive the new one before signing.

Only other thoughts were possibly to sell it and buy a new one, could potentially get more than the 17.7k trade in value but would feel bad knowing the car has issues.

Also considered if itd be worth waiting for a 2012, but im thinking probably not.

If your state gives a trade in allowance then your getting probally over a grand extra depending on tax rate , assuming your state does this of course .
