Default what's the latest news on the new 2012 crz?

not much information out about the new 2012 crz. went to the dealership last week and the sales guys had zero info on it....no brochures...nothing??
just curious. i hope they do away with the auto/stop mode. i've almost had 7 or so close calls because of the engine dying on me.

All I heard was a black interior option. Yawn.

I'm waiting for a version with sunroof - I will upgrade for that!

I don't share your hate for autostop though; it's one of my favorite features and something I love about the car. Since the engine shuts down when stopping, and re-engages as soon as you get in gear, how has this caused a close call?

you don't have to completely stop to have the engine turn off and this has cause me problems when i think the car is still on and try to take off quickly and all of a sudden ...no-go.

also derek, i live where the temperature is usually 105 degrees almost every day with peaks over that.....and when you're at a stop light that takes a while and the car goes to sleep so does the compressor.....and that's a killer.

lew, same here - I'm in DFW and it's 108 almost every day lately. Sucks!

I hope there's not much change about the 2012 model, I just got a 2011 two days ago

But nonetheless, I'll still love my CR Z

Wont pushing the "front defrost" button keep "Idle Stop" at bay?

Or max "Lo" temp setting on auto AC?

ya just have your AC temp set Low and it'll keep you from auto stopping. or if it does autostop it will autostart back up the second it gets a little warm.

if you're having issues with that, maybe there's something with your temp sensor, it's on the steering column above or below the key (i forget). don'T have it blocked.

and Derek I'd also switch models if they had both the higher compression engine that should come hopefully in 2013 AND the "moon roof" option where the roof does not open but is just a glass. (basically the JDM and EDM version of the moonroof)

because of the earthquake there will be virtually no difference from the 2011 to the 2012.

As far as the heat, I just keep it on "Lo" and in SPORT mode and have had no issues at all with the auto stop shutting the car off in the heat. The CR-Z takes in different factors when deciding to auto stop or not. I have found in 95+ plus temps and with the interior temp from decent to hot it wont shut off in SPORT and set to "Lo".

I'm in Vegas, so I can relate to the heat issue during "auto stop", what I usually do is drop it in 1st gear just for a second & it disengages the "auto stop", even if you go back into neutral...
