Actually drove their top of the line convertible today. My mom is considering this car & I promised we could take one out. Actually wasn't horrible to drive- drove smoothly, didn't shake at 70 mph on the interstate and was "fun". However, at $26,750, not worth it!! Not quite as cheap material wise, but not a mid $20k car. They had a few incentives: $250 cash back, $500 off and 1.9% for up to 72 months. It had the upgraded Bose speakers, Italian leather seats (heated) TomTom navi, an some other dealer add on's, but again, nowhere near $26+k worth of anything. I liked the convertible that can be stopped at any time & opened at up to 60mph, but must emphasize that it's not worth $26+k. Also liked the non-hassle sales staff

I just came across this page with a link tomamvideo showing the Fiat 500 Abarth. They don't drive it, but they do start it. Must admit, it sounds rather nice! I drove the first model when it first came out over a half year ago and was not impressed. I still don't like the interior (although those leather seats seem very nice), but its performance may provide a bit of fun:

I test drove a Fiat 500 Abarth on Sunday; My thoughts.
I just drove a Fiat 500 Abarth…..OMG!!! This car is freaking a** awesome!!! It is solid as a ‘56 Buick. The shifter is smoother than a MINI. It is even smoother than my Honda CR-Z and Honda is known for their smoothness on manual transmissions. It only has a five speed transmission but at 65 mph, it is quieter than the CR-Z. Even with the windows down, it is smoother than wet glass. Something very nice with the MultiAir engine mixed with the turbo, is you can be cruising all nice & quiet down the highway and then nail it to pass & it is like you down shifted, even though you didn't and the power comes on strong, smooth & linear where it pushes you firmly back into your seat & you can just feel it! At idle, you can hear the turbo whistle from the front & through the exhaust tips. Speaking of exhaust, while it is tame on the highway when you start getting jiggy with it the car comes alive with its powerful sting and bad boy attitude and the exhaust growls loud and proud! It is pure music to the ears. Although a little high on the seating position, it was still very comfortable. More so than the MINI & it is definitely easier to get in and out of than the CR-Z. Now let’s talk SEXY. OMG!!! I just knelt down in the showroom and stared at her for at least a good 5-10 minutes. For what I did not like…the sunroof. I so wanted this option, but won’t be getting it. With the sunroof, my head was a gnat’s hair from hitting the roof. If I hit any pothole or go over a speed bump, I would be knocked unconscious. This really bummed me out. Sitting in the rear seat (not that I will be back there), my head does hit the roof. The last thing is that I will have to be careful getting in & out of the car. It will be easy to scuff the lower body fairing with your heel. It is obvious that it has less power than the Cooper S, but with the Venom accessories coming out and all the aftermarket parts, it will be easy to put this angry little Anthropoda into the JCW range. Other than that, the car is flawless. It just feels more engineered and thought out, rather than trying to be trendy and gimmicky like a MINI. I will probably be replacing the CR-Z next year if reliability is proven..
