So I got my wheels powder coated black along with plastidipping the badges for the full murdered out look. It's awesome - so awesome that the CHP decided to pull me over a couple months after doing it . . .
Gotta have it removed for the fix it ticket and then I might do solid red to keep it different than stock and keep the fuzz at bay.

I ordered pre-cut blackout tints off eBay. I'm excited to see how they are going to look and fit, especially after I cut out the reverse light area. I'm also going to paint my wheels and emblems black. Should look great on my white pearl CR-Z I would think.

Recently put some Laminex (Light Gun Smoke) on my SSM. Have the same film for my HID headlights, but still thinking about it..

that looks great. did you install it yourself? at that level of tint, the change in output is negligible. the LEDs get right through don't they?

I have the charcoal black laminex (darkest available) and Ive had cops behind me for miles during night and daytime, never have been bothered so Im guessing theyre still bright enough lol. With the smoke grey Im sure theres almost no difference.

Did you guys ever stop to wonder why Honda put tail lights on your Zeds?

Its so some trucker doesn't go barreling into the back, not as a fashion accessory.

You should thank the CHP for saving you from yourselves.

I had my local tint shop do it. With the lights on at night, there is almost no difference in brightness with the light gun smoke tint. Was what I was looking for, look'n good in the daytime with little to no effect at night. Also got the LED license plate light which is extremely bright.
