I guess it just depends. If you are a true audiophile, even though the sound system in the EX is way better than the base, it probably won't live up to a top of the line aftermarket system. But if you're like me, couldn't tell the difference between high end and top of the line, and would have no intentions of replacing the sound system, then the EX sound system is worth the $$.
There's a lot of features on the EX that is well worth that $1000, IMO. The ones that come to mind are the LED DRL's, HID headlights, and the fog lights (these are $250 each, so would be half of that $1K right there). |

I think the extras on the EX would be worth it in your case. I have an EX and enjoy all of them.. especially the subwoofer in the back. This is also my first car with HID headlights. I will never go back to halogens! These HIDs are just so great at night

Welcome to the forum r000mie!
![]() I think the EX features are worth the extra money (hence why I bought one) One thing, I don't know where you're from, but in the U.S. we only got the LED DRLs as of the 2013 model year. Most of the rest of it has been around for the other model years. Hope to see you as an owner soon. |

Ceteris paribus, EX for the difference. But if there are other reasons (condition, mileage, existing mods on the base) for the minimal up-charge, they take precedence in your decision-making.
Unless you plan to mod the car so much that you will remove many of the upgrades that come with the EX, that is. But that doesn't sound like what you describe. Now, hang around here long enough, and we WILL change that, but that's another story. Welcome to the forum. Hope you find the right car for you!
