I drive the CR-Z for mpg, even around town. Yesterday I get in the 2000 Integra with my wife for a short errand. Up to 85+ on the freeway with my wife commenting "I like you much better in the CR-Z" Sprinted starts. Back in the CR-Z that afternoon... slow. |

Haha! I do the same thing. I floor it in all my other cars and in this one I drive like a grandma.

I definitely drove more "conservatively" (read: SLOW) in the CR-Z than I did with my Accord (I punished the accelerator on that one), for the sake of maximising MPG. Then I realised how sad it was that I drove a sedan more aggressively than a sports car. So nowadays I'm trying to kick that habit and drive more like I used to again. It's certainly made the Z more fun to drive, and also had the unexpected side-effect of improving my MPG so it's a win-win.

Yup, but differently like Item9. If I were to drive my truck like the CR-Z, I'd be spending a lot more time exploring its off-road capabilities!
It's not like I abuse the Honda. It spends 99% of the time in Normal mode. But I come from an SUV and pickup background. Maybe that's why I'm so thrilled with the economy and performance of the CR-Z!
