Arrow 2013 CRZ in USA

Hey everyone. I am looking to get a new car soon. I have fallen in love with the CR-Z and test drove one last week. I really liked the 2012, but started reading about the 2013 model. The increased horse power and S+ button sound really awesome. Plus the LED front lights are perfect.

Does anyone know what the expected additions will be in the US? When could I possible pre-order one? I can wait a couple months for it what would you all do if you wanted to pick the right one?

Those LED front lights aren't new. It's just that US model doesn't have them. I'm pretty sure most dealer will love to take your deposit now even they know nothing about 2013 model (although sales mostly likely will pretend they do and give out false/uncertain info).

Nothing is certain until American Honda has announced official detail. When it comes to US model, don't expect features additions but expect reductions.

the only thing we probably won't see are the LED DRLs, everything else from the press release should be included.

Do you think the 2013 will have the lithium ion battery vs the nickel battery?

the press release said it did, hence where the extra HP comes from

Don't quote me on this. But for the USDM I would expect all the mechanical and aesthetics to carry over. So the revised look, the LI battery, sport+ button, etc. The LEDs are something that's debatable.

It seems like Honda excluded leather, sunroof, LEDs on the 11-12 USDM model for what I believe are pricing reasons to keep it in that 20-24K range.

Thanks that is very helpful. That would be a lot of changes for 2013 internally, it might just be worth waiting for then. I hope they announce what will be available soon, they have started doing that for other Honda models like the accord.

Yeah, just wait for 2013. The upgrades will be worth the wait. If you then decide you don't want the 2013, most 2012 will be on sale.

We're all excited about the 2013, but the final price tag could kill a lot of the buzz. Hence, we are expecting less than the full JDM package to arrive on these shores.
Good luck in you your search.

I'm surprised it hasn't been announced for the U.S. yet. The 2012 model was already announced this time last year, and that was with the tsunami set backs.
