Haha, thats pretty sweet getting a lesser penalty because he liked the car
I haven't been pulled for speeding.. Yet.. But I did get stopped because apparently I looked to young to own my car and the officer thought I'd stolen it

I got busted for 104 in a 40 in my dad's Cadillac STS when I was home from my first semester in college. The cop did not cut me any slack either. I got a reckless too...

Ouch, i bet that was hard to explain to your old man. My dad dropped my insurance.....20 with a ticket and an accident that was somehow MY fault for all cars involved (car rear ended my truck which pushed me into a z06 corvette) insurance aint cheap

Rear end collision is (in my area at least) ALWAYS the person to the rear's fault. If you get hit by someone from behind, it's their fault. If that pushes you into hitting another car, that wreck is your fault (justification is you didn't leave enough room). I can see how you hitting the Z06 would be your fault, but not the other guy hitting you. That should have been contested by your insurance company.

I would have given the cop a "really?" look.
Seriously, has anyone driven a major production vehicle from any of the large international well known automobile manufacturers, that was made in the last 20 years that wasn't capable of going over 100 mph? Has he never seen 'worlds wildest police videos'? You can see some spectacular piles of junk doing well over 100, and it could be considered research for his chosen profession so he won't look so silly when he's quoted on the internet. |

The lady that rear ended me said my tailights didnt work.....i was sitting at a redlight for a good minute already i saw her coming and just relaxed and said welp.....this is how i get my first dent. The cop looked at my truck, put the key in and tested the taillights......i told him ofcourse theyre not going to work now dumbass my whole rearend is gone. Ticket#2
. The guy in the vette sued the lady that hit me and won, so my insurance didnt go up for that for whatever reason. He wasnt mad at me at all

Got a buddy who is a cop. He told me this one when I got my hybrid.
He pulled over a woman in a Prius doing about 50 in a 25 mph residential zone. He gave her a break and wrote her up for 35. She fought the ticket. (A word to the wise... if a cop cuts you some slack, do not fight it.) As evidence in her defense, the woman presented her mpg log, which showed an average well over 50mpg. She reasoned that a person who gets that kind of mileage can't be an aggressive driver. The judge gave it serious consideration. My friend had to do some fast talking to get the ticket to stick.
