Anyone from with an Asian market car want to chime in on what your last 6 digits are?

What I am not clear about is are the last 5 digits unique to each market or are the last 5 digits shared by all markets. I always thought Canadian cars and US cars shared the same sequence numbers but that does not appear to be the case based on the posting to this thread by a Canadian owner.
